I just want to say how fantastic the ipeng app is for my Ipod Touch 1st Gen. It works like a dream with my Squeezebox radio. No configuring needed. Installed it and it worked, instantly. It has given me a reason to use my iPod once again after letting it gather dust in the draw.

Once again

Great work - worth every penny

Hi,

Please make sure that you only have characters in your path names that are supported by the UTF-8 encoding (unicode characters).
Chinese characters actually should not be an issue but there might be characters that could be interpreted as control codes and there is currently an issue that Squeezebox Server doesn't encode these correctly when transmitting them to iPeng breaking the transmission.
Also, could you tell me what Operating System you use? Do you know which character encoding it uses?

Please note a single "broken" folder name can affect a bigger number of folders since they are not transmitted one by one but as bigger packets so a broken transmission could affect a whole number of folders.

Since this is something that breaks on the Squeezebox Server side there actually isn't a lot we can do on the iPeng side to solve the issue.

It will work on the Classic since for that player, all processing is being handled within the server, the encoding issue only hurts iPeng and all newer Players (Controller, Radio).

I hope this helps. If you see further issues, please contact me through e-mail to coolio att penguinlovesmusic dott com

Hi,

iPeng really is a great application, however I'm encountering problem when browsing the music folder. It is so strange that there are some album paths couldn't be oberved by iPeng, but they can be seen by my Squeezebox classic. I tried to remove all Chinese characters from the folder path but it still fail. Do you have anyidea to resovle this problem?

I've upgraded to the latest version on App store.

Thanks,
