Updated User’s Manual Available
iPeng 1.2.1 has been out for a while now but the User’s manual was not completely up to speed with this release.
Now, this has changed. I’m happy to announce that the User’s Manual is now fully up to date with regards to iPeng 1.2.1. While completing the 1.2.1 version, we added some more detail and hopefully the readability has improved as well.
Also, the new User’s Manual is now available for download in PDF format.
Like before, it’s designed as an online manual, supports readability on iPhone/iPod touch through an iPhone skin and can be reached using the links in the App under “Help”.
You can find the User’s manual at
help.penguinlovesmusic.de
Even if you are an experienced iPeng user, have a look and see whether you’ll discover some features you didn’t know about, yet.
Have fun!

Perhaps a nice tool. But 8 EURO is too much for it. Especially if you just want to give it a try…

OK, you’ve got a Squeezebox for what? 200€? Oh, it’s a Boom so 300€.
An iPod touch for at least 190€
And 8€ for the App is too much?
Your choice, you can of course as well buy a Squeezebox Controller for 239€ instead

Not quite!
I just downloaded the Squeezebox Server Software to my computer: ZERO €!
I just want to try your software first before I buy it, like I tried the iPod…

Yes, I can understand that, yet unfortunately there is no way to try out Apps on the App Store, you have to complain to Apple about that.
Squeezebox Server alone will not give you a lot of functionality without a player, it’s being provided by Logitech to be able to sell their Squeezebox. We don’t have any hardware sales, we sell software.
What is it you want to do, from your nick I was assuming you own a Boom?

I invested the 8 € two days ago, after i had bought a Squeezebox Receiver for 130 €. I had already the ipod touch and a NAS to install the Squeeze Server.
Plugged every together and synced with iTunes in the past two days. I can tell you, a fantastic state-of-the-art solution for 140 € to listen to music and Internet Radio.
Sorry, but iPeng is worth every penny of its already modest 8 Euros.
